I don't usually recommend books, even less before I've finished reading them. However, I just found a gem and want to tell you all about it. The book is Confessions of a Public Speaker by Scott Berkun. I found it on Amazon at $11.55 for the paperback, but I went for the $9.99 Kindle edition. I initially ordered the free sample that one can get for the Kindle but only read a few pages when I knew I had to have it.
This book goes through all of the ups and downs of public speaking. If you've had nerves, or disasters, then read this and you'll find disasters and nerves. It's something that could have been written by one of us. I'm looking forward to continuing with this and think that it would be a good edition to anyone's library.
